Tilly-Wood Street Design Showcase event

Design Showcase: Wednesday 19 June 2019

Thank you to everyone who came along to the showcase event at St George’s Church in Tillydrone on Wednesday. It was great to see so many people and your involvement in the project as a whole has helped develop some really exciting designs for your neighbourhood.

In total we had over 70 people come together from the community to view the concept design and get involved in the activities. If you missed the event you can view the designs online here: link to updated concept design .

Below are some photos from the event:

Design Showcase

The feedback received during the public consultation in March and April was displayed alongside how this has helped us to refine the designs. The community had the opportunity to talk to the project team about the designs in more detail and find out what happens next. You can view the display boards here: link to display boards .

Walk-through of the project area

We took people around the project area to talk through some of the designs and answer any questions.

Activities and fun

We’d like to thank the Tuk-in team from Cfine who put on a fantastic spread of homemade soups, sandwiches and cake. And weren't we so lucky with the weather too!

We also had a bike mechanic from Adventure Aberdeen who had a queue of bikes ready to fix. His handy work did not gone unnoticed and he received several thank you cards from the children who's bikes are now ready for the Summer!

We’d like to thank representatives from local groups who were also on hand to talk about outdoor events, activities and support which included Cycling UK, Healthwalks, Grampian Cycling partnership, Aberdeen Multicultural centre and the Tillydrone Gateway community group.

What’s next?

You can view the concept designs online inclusing how we’ve incorporated your feedback. The concept design will be handed over to Aberdeen City Council and the project Steering Group later this month before going to committee for approval to develop this further.

Thank you again to everyone who has been involved in the project over the last year. We've really enjoyed working with you!
